TO-DAY'S RATE £2O/A TON,
LOWEST QUOTATION FOR YEARS.,
A further reduction- of 10s a ton in the prices of all grades. of raw and refined sugars with the exception of tablet and icing sugars is announced by the Colonial Sugar ~ Refining Company. Limited. Tho reduction takes effect'' today and under the new scale the wholesale prico of No. 1A sugar will he £2O a ton, the lowest rate recorded for several years. " / '
The last reduction, also of 10s, was made on February 6. The price has been steadily falling for the past two years and sugar to-day is £5 10s a ton cheaper than it was at the beginning of 1927. %
