EXTENDING RETICULATION.

Endorsement of the Franklin Power Board's proposals for am extension loan of £75,000 was enthusiastically given at a meeting of ratepayers at Ararirau today. Mr.. Robinson presided over a large attendance. The proposals were explained by Mr. J. Dean, chairman of the board, Mr. J, B. McKinney, a member of the board, and Mr. T. E. Overton, the engineer, after which a considerable number of questions were asked. On the motion of Messrs. D. Markham and W. Dumu the meeting unanimously pledged itself to do all possible to' ensure the proposal being carried at the poll on May 8.
