EX-SERVICE WOMEN.
ANZAO DINNER,
Hie Auckland Ex-Service Women's Association bold their annual Anzac dinner at the Albert; Hotel on Monday evening The attendance was one of the largest they have yet held, and a very pleasant atmosphere of camaraderie and reminiscence characterised the occasion. The tables were decorated in a scheme of blue and gold heightened with numbers of small flags, and everybody wore their medals and war decorations, the effect of such a number being quite impressive. Mrs. Basil Cailuux, president of the association, presiced, and in the course of a short speech urged members to keep together and to keep alive the aims foi which their association stood.
Among those who were also present were the patron, ivliss Nutsey, A.R.R.C.; vice-presidents Mrs. L. P. Leary, Mrs. Deck and Mrs. Michaels; hon. secretary, Airs Stocker; hon treasurer, Miss Luxford; aiso Uesdames Jacob-Wily, Carruthers, Woods, Lewin, Blampied, liogg, Wrigley IX Smith, Whitehorne, KanfurlyrSmith, Emptage, Tyrell, Harris, Bruce, Mackenzie, Webster, Grieves, Campbell Kent-Johnston (Hamilton), Webber, Misses Clarke, Norrish, Barbour, Slater, Ernest, R.R.C., Mendellsohn, Calders, Lochner, Bryant and Bradshaw.
At the close of 4he dinner three cheers were given for the chef, and later the party finished the evening at the pictures.
