EXTRAVAGANT PRINCE.
GERMAN'S HUGE DEBTS.
TERM OF IMPRISONMENT. BERLIN. April 20. Prince Max Hugo von Hohenlohe Oehringen, a scion of one of the noblest German families, married Countess Marie Fuggerfaber, a member of one of the most wealthy families in South Germany. Ho contracted enormous which his uncle, Prince Christian of HohenloheOehringen, repeatedly paid.
Eventually the bailiff became a daily visitor to the estate in Silesia and when bankruptcy proceedings were begun the Prince's debts amounted to £50,000. The prosecution contended that the Prince aid not intend to pay his debts and continued to live a gay life. Consequently he had acted dishonestly and they asked for a sentence of 15 months' imprisonment. Tiie Court sentenced the Prince to five momhs' imprisonment for an offence against the bankruptcy law, and acquitted him on charges of fraud.
