TIMBERMEN'S STRIKE.
MEN ORDERED TO WORK.
REFUSAL ANTICIPATED. (Received April 20, 8.35 p.m.) SYDNEY. April 20. Orders of the court calling upon tho 58 summoned timber workers to resume work were served to-day. Tho secretary of the Employers' Association says lie does not anticipate that the full results will bo apparent until Wednesday. The secretary of the union, Mr. J. Culliert, a member of tho Legislative Council, declares that nothing the employers can do will affect the men.
If the men do not resume work it is expected that proceedings will be taken for the imposition of penalties. It is stated that nearly 1500 men working in tho city and suburban yards under tho 48-hour week are affected by the strike.
