THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
The Governor-General Sir Charles Fergusson and Lady Alice Fergusson paid an unofficial visit to the Auckland Infirmary yesterday afternoon. His Excellency was present at the annual meeting of the Auckland branch of the Navy League last evening. Their Excellencies will leave for the Tor.gariro River this evening for a fishing holiday, and they will return to Auckland on the morning of May 16. It has not yet been decided how long Their Excellencies will remain in residence in Auckland, but at the earliest they will not leave for Wellington before the King's Birthday, June 3.
