Mr. John Alexander, C.M.G,, is indisposed, and is confined to his home.
Mr. Justice Herdman arrived in Auck. land from Wellington by train yesterday morning.
Professor R. B. Dodds, dean of the dental faculty, University of Otago, is at the Grand Hotel.
Mr. B. H. Withers, of Epsom, England, and Mr. W. A. Bridge and Mr. P. J, O'Regan, of Wellington, are at the Central Hotel.
Mr. J. G. S.M., will arrive in Auckland to-day to take over the duties of Mr. W. R. McKean, 5.M... who has been granted six months' leave.
Mr. A. E. Marshall, of Wellington, Mr. J Munro, of Dunedin, Mr. F. Johnson, of Christchurch, and Mr. B. J. Dewhurst, of To Awamutu, are at the Royal Hotel.
Mr. C. J. Craig, Mr. R. C. Somerville and Mr. C. H. Henderson, of Wellington, Mr. F. Shepperd, of Gisborne, Mr. B. Sladden, of Tauranga, and Mr. W. Pick, of Picton, are at the Star Hotel.
Archbishop Averill and Archdeacon IT, Hawkins, superintendent of the Maori Mission of the Auckland Diocese, are nt present touring North Auckland. Tim Primate is to conduct confirmation services at Dargaville, Tc Kopuru, Mititni ar.d Avoca.
