CONFERENCE OF NURSES.
DELEGATE FROM DOMINION. fnY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PALMERSTON NORTH. Saturday. Tho Minister of Health, Hon. A. J. Stalhvortliy, announces that Miss Bicknell, head of tho nursing division, will represent New Zealand at the international conference of nurses at Montreal in July. This will bo tho largest of such conferences ever held and the lirst to be hold on British soil. An excellent display exhibit has been prepared covering tho various activities of the Health Department, particularly the nursing division and Plunket activities
Tito recent Matrons' Conference and the Trained Nurses' Association urged the Minister to send Miss Bicknell to the conference. Miss McKenny and Miss Patrick, of New Zealand, will also attend.
Miss Bicknell, who has been director of the Nursing Division since 1923, was trained in the Nelson Hospital, and has had many years' of administrative exporicnco. Sho was matron of the hospital ship Maheno.in 1916-17, and afterwards was deputy-matron-in-chief of the New Zealand Army Nursing Service.
