WEDDINGS.

| ANDERSON—GRANT. The wedding took place in the Gospel Hall, Great South Road, on Saturday afternoon of Miss Catherine Grant, daughter of Mrs. K. MacKenzie, of Iverness, Scotland, to Mr. Hugh Anderson, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Anderson, of Glasgow. The Rev. T. Russell performed the ceremony. 'I ho bride wore a frock of ivory georgette made with a lace yoko and close-fitting bodice finished with silver ribbon gathered at the waist. The full skirt ended in deep scallops at the hem and at one side of it was a big bow of silver tulle. Ihe veil, of fine net, was embroidered at the edges and held in place with a circlet of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of pink and whito flowers with maidenhair fern. Iho bridesmaids were her sister, Miss A. Grant (chief) and Miss Olive Scarborough, and also in attendance were two little flower girls, Betty Scarborough and Fay lluntlev. The chief bridesmaid wore a, frock of coral pink georgette with a helmet-shaped cap of pink tulle and sho carried a bouquet of pink and blue flowers. The second bridesmaid's frock was of blue georgette worn with a similar head-dress in blue tulle. Her bouquet was of flowers to tone. The little flower girls wore respectively frocks of mauve and pale green crepe do chine and carried, baskets of autumn flowers. The best man was Mr. David Lyall and the groomsman Mr. Bruco.

BULL—POND.

The wedding took place in St. Mark's Church, Renmera, on Saturday evening, of Miss Olive Pond, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Pond, of Ellerslie, to Mr. Lawrence Macdonald Bull, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Ball, of Ellerslie. The Rev. C. Tuke performed the ceremony. Tiio bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory georgette over crepo dc chine with diamante embroideries and a veil caught to the head with orango blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers with touches of pink. The bridesmaid was Miss Iri3 Swift, who wore a frock of rose pink silk net trimmed with silver and a headdres.s to tone. Her bouquet was of pink flowers. Mr. Frank Pearce was best man and Mr. W. Winter groomsman. Following the ceremony a reception was held at Miss Aitkenhead's rooms in Grafton Road, where Mrs. Pond, wearing a frock of brown silk bengaline with hat. to tone, received"the guests. Mrs. L. Bull, the bridegroom's mother, was in navy blue satin. COWLEY—WILSON. The marriage took place on Saturday afternoon at All Saints' Church of_ Miss Mary Wilson, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Wilson, of Te Kuiti, to Mr. William James Cowley, of the Royal Marines of H.M.S. Dunedin, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Cowley, of Wiltshire, England. The Rev. W. Averill performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wove an ivory georgette frock with a tight-fitt'.ng embossed chenille-georgette bodice and a full skirt dipping at the back with a wide hem of georgette frills. Her embroidered tulle veil formed a train and was arranged on the head with a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of white and pale pink flowers. The bridesmaid; Miss Violet Dix, wove an early Victorian frock of shell pink taffeta and tulle. The corsage was of taffeta, and the long bouffant skirt was composed of narrow tulle frills lightly embroidered with pink rosebuds. She wore a small pink' felt hat swathed with velvet ribbon, and carried a bouquet of pink chrysanthemums and carnations. Little Winifred Waite, who was flower girl, wore a Wedgwood blue georgette frock with a picot-edged cape collar and frilled skirt, and a small blue georgette bonnet tied under the chin with pink and blue ribbons, She carried an autumn-shaded posy.
