TIMBER MILL FIRE.
HEAVY DAMAGE CAUSED. INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED. * MELBOURNE. April 27. Incendiarism is suspected to have been the cause of a firo which caused damage estimated at £50,000 at the timber millsowned by Millar's Timber- and Trading Company, South Melbourne, early this morning. This suspicion is based upon statements made to the police by the night watchman.
Drenching rain aided the Firemen in suppressing tho outbreak. Police motor-cyclo patrols had made a tour of inspection of tho yards just before the tire occurred.
