PURCHASE OF STEAMER.

LYTTELTON-FOXTON TRADE.

NEW COMPANY'S PROPOSAL. [by telegraph.—press association.] FOXTOX, Sunday. At a large and representative meeting at Foxton a company was formed, to lie called the Hirnatangi Shipping Company, Limited, with a capital of £IO,OOO, to take over the steamer Coolebar. The steamer has been purchased in Sydney, and the purchase was confirmed by the shareholders. Over one-half of the share capital was subscribed by those present at the meeting.

The. steamer, which will trade between Lyttelton and Foxton, is a twin-screw-vessel, 150l't. long, and 30ft. in beam. She carries 525 tons on a light draft. The vessel vill be commissioned at an early date.
