PRESENTATION.

A farewell was tendered to th? postmaster at Waimauku, Mr. L. T. Buckton, and Mrs. Buckton, at the week-end, on the occasion of their leaving the district for Ilelensville. About 200 people were present. Mr. Buckton has been postmaster at Waimauku for the past five years. Mr. J. Adkins, in presenting an eiderdown quilt and a handbag to Mrs. Buckton, and an umbrella to Mr. Buckton, spoke of tho high esteem in which they were liehl, and voiced tho regret of the residents of th& district at their departure. Mr. Buckton was also presented with a set of hair brushes by the post office staff.
