MAN KILLS DAUGHTER.
SUICIDE OF ASSAILANT. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. MONTREAL, April 19. A message from Saint Laurent says that with her largo family of children looking on Mrs. P. Richard was shot dead while trying to prevent the elopement of her daughter, aged 16. Later on J. Desjardins, for whom a posse had scoured the countryside, when cornered shot and killed his girl companion, Mrs. Richard's daughter Emma, and then committed suicide.
