HAMILTON SEASON OPENS

HAMILTON, Sunday
The Hamilton Gun Club held its opening shoot for the 1929 season yesterday afternoon at Ruakura. There was a splendid attendance, and the shooting was of good standard. The results were as follows: First Shoot, C birds.—P. Jelavich, C. Clark and G. Peach, all shot the pssible. Second Shoot, 9 bird3.—W. J. McMiken won with the possible; T. Glenn, J. Amundsen and C. Seddon tied for second and third places with 7 birds each. Third Shoot, 10 birds.—C. Seddon and H. Earle each scored the possible; J. Amundsen, W. J. McMiken, P. Jelavich, A. Woolven and W. Howe each shot 9 birds. Fourth Shoot, 6 birds, Girncrack.—Six tied with 5 birds each. The shoot-off resulted in W. Woolven and H. Earle filling the fftst and second places. Fifth Shoot, 6 birds.—W. Woolven won with the possible; W. Percival was second.
