ADJOURNMENT GRANTED.

The cases of alleged seditious libel against the Samoa Guardian and 'ts editor were called in the High Court today, but were adjourned sine die, on the application of the police, who said their evidence was not complete.
Reports are current in Apia that the application for an adjournment was by the instructions of the Attorney-General in New Zealand, and that the hearing must await the arrival of the new Chief Judge at Apia.
Informations were laid on April 3,1 by the police against the Samoan Guardian and William Tarr, its editor. The charge is that, with intention to excite diss,flection against the Government of New Zealand and the Government of Satnoa, defendants published a seditious libel, referring to J' Samoan officials who have pillaged the funds of the Samoan treasury." ___________
