MISHAP TO LINER.

TOUCHES EDDYSTONE ROCKS. VESSEL RETURNS TO PORT. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. (Received April 1!). 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April IS. The French liner Paris left Plymouth for New York and grounded on the Eddystone Rocks. She was later refloated. The damage has not been ascertained. The liner went ashore in a dense f°g. There was intense anxiety at Plymouth. Destroyers rushed to the Eddy stone in response to an S.O.S. call. This is the vessel's second mishap within ten days The Paris, which was on her way from Havre to Plymouth, en route for New York, was refloated at high tide. She is returning to Havre to be dry-docked for examination, and made for Plymouth under her own steam. She reached Plymouth in the middle of the afternoon, instead of nine o'clock this morning. Her passengers say there was no excitement or panic, and the crew displayed wonderful discipline.
