TOURING BOYS WARNED.
AUSTRALIANS IN AMERICA.
DANGER OF CHICAGO VISIT. Australian Press Association—United Service (Received April 13, 7.23 p.m.) TORONTO. April IS. The Toronto Star says the party of Australian boys who are touring Canada and the United States have received an anonymous letter and telephone calls warning them not to visit Chicago. Major Simmonds, who is in charge of the party, said he was inclined to treat the matter as a joke, but some of the people who are responsible for the tour view it in a different light. The warnings might force the cancellation of the visit, said Major Simmonds. The Premier of Ontario, Mr. Howard Ferguson, has taken a special interest in the visit of the Young Australians. He attended two of the welcoming functions to congratulate the originators of what hedescribed as among the greatest modern youth movements Mr. John Martin, Minister of Agriculture in Ontario, speaking at a Kiwanis Club reception, said the Ontario Government was prepared to support a movement for a reciprocal visit by Canadian boys to Australia. He referred to the tour as a most effective contribution to understanding between the Dominions.
