DRYING MINT FOR WINTER.
" Housewife" asks how to dry mint for winter use:—There are two methods of drying mint. You may tie the mint up in bunches on the stalks, and put theih in paper bags; hang these from a nail in tho kitchen, keeping tho bag securely tied, and when the mint is so dry that it. will powder, it is ready to store away in a dry press or box. The other way is to dry the leaves in the sun. or in a cool oven, and either powder finely, or put the leaves as they are in an air-tight bottle or jar. Parsley may be dried in the same way.
