Vincent last evening:—Fair to cloudy weather is indicated, with unsettled conditions at times, showery and squally at intervals, and cold temperatures. A scattered rainfall is expected on the east coast, and districts between East Capo and Whangarei, but mainly fine in southern areas southward from New Plymouth. South-westerly winds, strong to gale, throughout tho Auckland Province, backing to south-east shortly, and strong southerlics ruling in tho south. Rough seas in Cook Strait, arid southward from East Capo; mainly moderate clsowhcro. A small disturbance of cyclonic character is developing on tho east coast, and boisterous weather is expected over tho Auckland Peninsula, Barometer, midnight, falling .. 29.90 in. Midnight, Thursday .. .. 30.00 in, GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—Pressure has again fallen eastwards of New Zealand. An anti-cyclone is crossing the north Tasman Sea and a fresh depression is approaching Tasmania. Indications are for west to south winds, moderate to strong generally and reaching galo force in places .between Cook Strait and East Capo. Rough seas south of East Cape. Rather rough north of East Capo and Farewell Spit; moderate elsewhere. Moderate to fresh south to west winds and moderate seas in tho eastern Tasman Sea.
