VALUE OF A FARM.
CLAIM FOR £BOO DAMAGES. The dispute over the value of a 33acre farm at Clevedon, which has already occupied the Supremo Court for threo days, was again before Mr. Justice Blair yesterday. The farm was purchased in 1927 by Emily Miriam Chestnut (Mr. West) from William Peter Seaton (Mr. Ilaigli) for £2900. The plaintiff, Mrs. Chestnut, claimed that the value of the farm Was not moro than £2IOO, and she alleged the defendant had been guilty of misrepresentation in representing that the farm was not subject to flooding, and that it carried* 30 cows for ten months in the year. The plaintiff claimed £BOO damages. Mr. Justice Blair consented to inspect the farm personally, which he did before hearing the addresses of counsel. His Honor reserved his decision.
