MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
The Hon. P. A. de la Pcrrelle, Minister of Internal Affairs, had a busy day in Auckland yesterday. Together "with the Hong. A. J. Stallworthy and J. B. Donald, who are also in the city, he participated in a welcome expended by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and later by the United Party. . The Minister investigated matters appertaining to unemand received several deputations. Accompanied by Mr. P. J. Kelleher, assistant under-aecretary of Internal Affairs and chief inspector of totalisators, the Minister left for Wellington by the limited express last evening. The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, arrived in Auckland yesterday from Hamilton and was kept exceedingly busy throughout the day. After consulting with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, and the Post-master-General, Hon. J. B. Donald, he received private and public deputations which took the whole of the morning and afternoon except for a brief interval spent at the fair at Eden Park. The Minister will be engaged on private and departmental business this morning and will attend the air pageant at Mangere this afternoon. Hb will return to Wellington tomorrow evening. The Hon. H. Atmore, Minister of Education, is visiting Taranaki. He will spend the week-end in Eltham and Hawera.
