THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, and Lady Alice Fergusson paid an unofficial visit to the men's section of the Auckland Infirmary yesterday afternoon. To-morrow afternoon His Excellency will present,new colours to the Auckland Regiment, the function taking place at the Domain, In the evening Sir Charles will attend a citizens' Anzac service in the Pitt Street Methodist Clinrch.
His Excellency will leave for Wellington on Tuesday evening, to lay the foun-dation-stone of the Wellington War Memorial* He will return to Auckland next Friday. On Tuesday, April 30, Their Excellencies will leave for the Tongariro River, where they will spend a two weeks' fishing holiday.
