TECHNICAL SCHOOL NEEDS

In reply to representations made by the Sodden Memorial Technical College to obtain a greater playing area near the school, the Education Department advised the board of managers yesterday to endeavour to arrange a friendly conference with other bodies concerned

The principal, Mr. G. J. Park, said it might ho possible to arrange with the Auckland Education Board to transfer the old Normal School to the old Grammar School buildings, provided the consent ot the Grammar School Board was received. The old Normal School buildings and ground could then he used as an extension of the technical college.

It was decided to forward copies of the department's letter to the Education Board and tho Grammar School Board, asking if they would he prepared to confer ori the matter.
