ALLEGED LIBEL.

SAMOAN PAPER INVOLVED. POLICE LAY INFORMATIONS. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. APIA. April 11. Informations were laid to-day by the police against the Samoan Guardian and William Tarr, its edtor. The charge is that, with intention to excite diaffection against the Government of New Zealand and the Government of Samoa, defendants published a seditious libel, referring to " Samoan ofiicials who have pillaged the funds of the Samoan treasury."
