MIGRANTS FROM BRITAIN. ASSISTANCE UNDER ACT.
Australian Press Association —United Service , LONDON. March 28 In the course of a speech at Nottingham last evening on Empire settlement, Mr. L. S. Amery, Secretaiy of State for the Dominions, said that under various schemes over 300,000 persons had been assisted to go to the Dominions since the Empire Settlement A< t was passed in 1922. 11l tho Inst; four years tho figure was 215,000, exclusive of 170,000 persons who liarl gone out unassisted.
