MOUNTAIN GUIDE INJURED.
PARTY RETURNS FOR HELP.
RESCUERS ENCOUNTER FLOODS. [BY telegraph.—press association.] HOKITIKA, Sunday. While crossing the Copeland Pass from the Hermitage, Guide Larseu received injuries as a result of losing control whon glissading. His party consisted of one woman and a second guide. The injured man was left at Douglas Rock after many hours of painful travelling. A rescue party sent out from Karangarua is being handicapped by swollen creeks, and at. a Jate hour to-night had not returned.
