ESTIMATE OF DAMAGE.
A TOTAL OF £27,766.

The departmental reports assess the damage due to the severe hailstorm last month at £27,766, over a total area of 3881 acres, wheat being put down at £18,061, over an area of 2308 acres; oats, £7BBB and 1351 acres; other crops, £lßl6, and 222 acres. The highest individual loss was estimated at £1237, with seven others whose losses amounted to £IOOO or over.
