PONSONBY CLUB. The Ponsonby Pigeon Club held its first 192!) young bird nice from Huntly, an air; lino distance of 53 miles. Owing to Iho adverse conditions prevailing the bird® wero somewhat scattered. Results;— Mr. W. Walker's bo c, .National .Tempest, 548 yds per minute. Is Mi. Frankhum's roc, St. Legcr, 398 yds, 2; Mr. R. Speir'a b h. Bon Light, 382 yds, 3. AVALON CLUB. The second race o[ tho 1929 young bird season was flown by tho Avalon Pigeon Club from To Awanuitu, an airlino distance of S(> miles. Only u few birds turned and it was quito evident, by their condition they had an exceptionally hard fly. Results:— Messrs. Scott Bros.' m q. Silver Blaze. Gl-tyds per minute, 1 ; Messrs.
