NEW TRAMCARS.
Sir, —As tho Transport Board ha 3 decided to spend a very substantial amount of money building a number of new tramcars, would it not be the right time to consider all the latest improvements .which have already been adopted by far-sighted people on the continent, especially such improvements as would overcome the awful noise for which our present tramears are famous. During a trip to most countries in the world I found tramears which run smoothly, and which are not a "nuisance at whatever speed they are being run* I would particularly refer to the latest tramears in Germany and Austria, and would suggest that we get reports from these countries as to the latest types_ employed. Anti-Noise.
