Telegrams inviting those ; members of the executive of the Australian Council of Trades Unions who .reside in the other States to attend a conference at Melbourne have been . despatched. The view is expressed that if the conference fails to negotiate a settlement with the employers, another great upheaval throughout Australia is bound to occur.
