REMAND IN RAMARAMA CASE. TRAM CONDUCTOR ASSAULTED. PENALTY OF FIVE POUNDS. Alleged to have committed a- pr.ive offence on a woman, aged 71, at Raniarama, on the evening of November 12, Frederick Thomas Kelly May, aged 24, labourer, appeared on remand in the Police Court yesterday. Detective Knight arrested May at 9.30 p.m. on November 21. On the application of Chief-Detective Hammond, accused was remanded to appear at Pukekoho this morning. Drink was said to have caused the downfall of George Keenan, aged 35, labourer, who pleaded not guilty to charges of drunkenness, using obscene language and resisting a constable who arrested him in Abraham Street. Sentence of one month's imprisonment was passed on accused on tho last count, while on the other two lie was convicted and discharged;
