FREE EDUCATION.
Sir, —I noticed "Victim's" letter in the Herald, in which that writer drew attention to the fact that some parents have to pay tuition fees in the secondary schools to pay for their own children and are taxed to pay for the education for free place children as well. I agree with him that parents find it hard enough to pay for the education of their owti children without paying for the education of others. Unfortunately I myself cannot afford to place my children in a secondary school. Yet lam taxed to give, free places to other people's children. It is most unfair, and the only way the State can do the right thing is to make secondary education free io all, as in the case of the primary. Parent.
