FAREWELL TO WORKERS. [by TEI.EG It A nr. own com; espon dent.] HAMILTON, Sunday. A social was held in the Claudelands Church ball lasL evening, when a large number of Church of England people gathered to bid farewell to Kuv. J. Rich, who leaves this week for Christ church, and to Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Matthews, who are removing to Auckland. Mr. Rich came to Claudelands from Whangaroi and has done mudi useful work as curate, lie organised tho Roy Scouts and placed them on a sound footing. Mr. Matthews has been secretary of the Claudelands Church Committee for some years, and he mid Mrs. Matthews took a prominent part in promoting the work of tho church in the district. Dean G. R. Harnett addressed the guosts on behalf of tlio company, thanking tjiam for their sprv ces qr.d wisjiing them Godspeed, Mr. Rich was handed a cheque and Mr. and Mrs. Matthews were presented with a silver teapot and waterjug apd a silver pencil.
