Tho Australian pacer Torpedo Huon is being sent across from Sydney to compete at tho Auckland Trotting Club's meeting next month, uul is expected lo urrivo shortly. It is stated that ho will go into ,J. Shaw's stable on arrival, and his appearanro on tho local track will bo awaited with interest. "Picador" saw Torpedo Huon win tho second division of tho Tramway Handicap (II miles) at Epping on September 18. On that occasion lie won handsomely of! a 3.27 mark in 3.21, but in tho Sydney Thousand tho following month was unplaced off tho samo mark in the second division, won by Talisman in 331. Torpedo Iluon is a six-year-old broV.n horso by Black Huou from Crystal Clare, and is a bold pacer, who might provo useful in tho Dominion. ST. HELIEKS HANDICAP.
