NEW COALMINE OPENING.
COLLIERY AT OHURA. WORK TO START IN WEEK. [iJY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TAUMABUNUI, Friday. Tho Tangarakau Coalmining Company, Ohura, has decided that work shall bo commenced at the company's mine in a week's time. Tho chairman of directors, Mr. G. B. Spencer, and the company's advisor, Mr. C. E. Storie, visited Ohura yesterday. They stated that all decisions in regard to tho route and, the most favourable opening up of tho property had been arrived at. The coal was of tho best quality, and within a few days tho coalmining industry would play an important part in the prosperity of tho Ohura district, especially when the railway connection between Stratford and Okahukura had been completed.
