It, was decided to support a protest against the withdrawal of exemptions regarding shop hours now enjoyed by cerium shopkeepers, the, chamber being of opinion the comvenienco of the public should not be interfered with. In view of the closing of the Royal Oak post oliice between 12.30 and 1.50, the chief postmaster will be asked to arrange for the delivery of inward telegrams between those hours from the Onnhunga post oflieo.
A donation of £.2 2s was niado to tho Oiiehunga dental clinic.
