KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR. [|»Y TKI.KGKAPH. —OWN COIUIESI'ONIUiNT. ] WIIANOAREI, Wednesday While Mr. F. Moresby, of the Bank of Now Zealand, was proceeding up Bank Street shortly after 11 o'clock last night lie endeavoured to cross the road and was knocked down by a car driven by Mr. I). Mason. Mr. Moresby was dragged some considerable distance and sustained a dislocation of the left hip, several broken ribs in his right sido and general abrasions. lie was immediately conveyed to tho Whnngarei Public Hospital in tho ambulance. Tho latest advice from tho hospital said he was making satisfactory progress.
