HIDDEN IN SHAVING BRUSH.

PUKEKOHE, Wednesday
A charge of stealing a pound nota from ;i workmate with-whom lie was sliaring a room on a farm at Mangatangi, was preferred against Robert James Maddren, aged 18, in tho Pukekoho Police Court to-day.
It was stated that Maddren took tho money from tho other man's trunk and hid it in tho handle of a shaving brush, ■whore it \vns discovered by Constable Douglas. Jladdren tliou admitted tho theft.
Accused was admitted lo probation for twelve months.
