'J'lic following officers were elected at the annual meeting of tho Taihapo St. Patrick's Day Sports Club: —Patron, Mr. W. S. Glenn; president, Mr. ,J. Quirk; vicepresidents, Messrs. D. Neagje and J. J. Ryan; committee, Messrs. W. llowens, V. Nicliolls, P. Wakeman, C. O'Sullivau, C. 0. Perry, J. Tuit and J. Hamill; secretary, Mr. A. M. Ryan; auditor, Mr. F. W. Stringer.
Tlio annual report stated that although the last sports meeting did not result in a financial success, the loss incurred was considerably less than that of the previous year. The loss in 1927 was £154. This year it was £24 Is 6d. Tho decreased loss was accounted for by the fact that tbe prize money was considerably reduced. It was decided to hold tho next sports meeting on March 16 and 18.
