TRAFFIC BY-LAWS.
PROSECUTIONS IN COURT. SEVERAL MOTORISTS FINED. Numerous drivers of motor vehicles were prosecuted in tho Police Court ycstciday for breaches of the traffic by-laws. Two Courts were occupied, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., and Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., presiding. Charged with dangerous driving .1. B. Copcland, O- Guy, A. Lyell, 11. Carter, 11. Anderson and W. F. Lauder wc.ro each fined £2; and L. V. I'oynter, 11. F. Bennett, J. 11. Shaw, E. K. Jordan and A. V. Broughtwood were each fined £l. Miss C. Anderson, J. Frater, F- Green. E. McMancinan and G. W. Ormrod wcro" each ordered to pay costs for leaving cars unattended on the, wharf. On charges of speeding H. Burton, C. G. Parker and 1!. Witten were fined £1 each. N. L. l\ Hill and H. W. Murray wove fined £l. each for passing u. tianicar. Breaches of tlic parking I>\laws cost M. A. Glass, V. McGeady and C. 11. Poller each 10s. Penalties of 5s were imposed on each of the following motorists who travelled at night with " insufficient lights:—C. .Andrews, S. Ellis. F. Harris, .1. Hill, 1'• ]la Hi well. A. S. Harriman, .1. 11. Hobbs, A E. Jackson, H. McAdanis, A. E. Smith and K. I. Tippett.
