BANKRUPT SHARE-MILKER.

[liY TEI.ECiII.VrH. —OWN CORHES POND E N'T. ] HAMILTON, Wcrinrßclny A share-milker, Horace File, of Eureka, wlio lias been adjudged bankrupt, explained to tho official assignee to day that his debts totalled £137 7s 6d, and his assets £4O, tho value of a car. There wero no creditors present.
Bankrupt attributed his position to tho purchase of tho car, tho dry spell last summer and tho swamp fires which affected the returns of tho cows he milked. Ho said he had received ordy £2l in the last four months. A motor collision in which lie was involved was very costly, and he had not yet completed the payment of the repair bill. Bankrupt, who is married, with four children, said he was unable to niako any offer to his creditors. Tho assignee said he would investigate the position further and if necessary would call another meeting of creditors.
