OVERSTAYED PERMIT.
YOUNG CHINESE FINED. Said to have stayed in New Zealand for two years and three months longer than ho should have do no Ah Soon, aged 25, a Chinese gardener, pleaded guilty in the Police Court yesterday to a charge nf having overstayed his temporary permit to remain in Ihe Dominion. For accused Mr. Goodall said Ah Soon had hpen ill and had medical certificates to that effect. Now, however, his return ticket to China had been bought and J'c had about £ls in cash. ( The magistrate, Mr. F. I\. Hunt, fined All Suon £ls and mado a deportation Order.
