WOMEN AND COOKING.
famous chefs at dinner. Australian and N.Z. Press Association LONDON. Oct. 25. Miss Ellen Wilkinson, Labour member of Parliament for Middlesbrough East, in the presence of London's most famous chefs and epicures at a dinner at Grosvenor House prepared by world-famous chefs, said: " What women want to know is how to make light, quick meals without living entirely on omelettes, tinned beans and toast, Tho healthiest people arc the bachelors of both sexes, who secretly eat light meals prepared by themselves."
The chefs and epicures listened nervously, but Miss Wilkinson atoned by keeping pace through eight courses with obvious relish.
