TOUR OF PROVINCE.
COMMERCE TRAIN DEPARTS. WAIKATO VISITS TO-DAY. The nine days' lour of (he province by 60 members of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and Government officials commenced last evening, when the special train conveying the party left Auckland at. nine o'clock for Franklon Junction. A large number of people gathered at the station tc farewell the party. Mr. JI. T. Merritt, president of the Chamber of Commerce, stated the officials of the Railways Department, who had been engaged in making the arrangements, deserved every praise for their co-operation and thoroughness. Every detail was complete and he was confident the tour would be a success. The publicity branch of the railways has arranged for the daily publication of a paper on the train for the convenience of members of the party. The paper will bo named (ho "Commerce Train News," and wih give details of eaclj day's itinerary, and photographs and descriptions of the places to be visited during the day. The party slept on the train last evening, and early this morning will visit the butter-box and casein factory at Hamilton as guosts of tho New Zealand Co-op-erativo Dairy Company. Later in tho morning the Ruakura Stato farm will bo visited, members of the party -being tho guests of the Hamilton Borough Council and tho local Chamber of Commerce at lunch.
. After lunch tlio train will Icavo for Ilotorua, a stop being niado at Waharoa (o visit the local l)utter factory controlled by tlio New Zealand Co-operativo Dairy Company. Uotorua will be leached at 6.15 p.m. The ovening will bo a free one, members of the party sleeping on the train.
