AMATEUR OPERATIC DANCE.

An enjoyable social and dnnco was held by the Amateur Operatic Society in the society's hall last- evening. Impromptu items were given by some of the members and dancing was enjoyed to excellent

music. Among those who were present were:— Mrs. A. Carsen, who woro a frock of black georgette with a vandvkod hem of silver lace; Miss Irene Tanner, black panne velvet frock with draped skirt and diamante trimming; Miss E. B. Paterson, leaf green georgette embroidered with sequins; Miss M. Paterson, cyclamen georgette beaded in silver; Miss Kitty Williamson, apricot chiffon and taffeta; Mrs. G. Y. Birch, shell pink goorgette beaded in silver; Miss Rose Kennedy, jade green georgette with Oriental beading; Miss Joyce Porter, leaf green chiffon; Miss Dorothy Richardson, black brocaded crepo de chine; Miss Cecily Cotter, green taffeta; Miss Lola Martin, jade green floral ninon; Miss Taylor, lettuce green georgette; Miss E. Stares, mauve sequinned georgette; Miss Craig, silver lame corsage and tulle skirt; Miss K. luce, mauvo taffeta with hem of deeper shade; Miss Underwood, midnight blue crepo do chine with hem of cream laec> Miss Edna Cammell, almond green taffeta; Miss G. Fowler, black ring velvet; Miss Joan Carriok Robertson, silver lanio and green fringed over-dress; Miss Audrey Perry, powder blue taffeta with uneven hem of cream lace; Miss W. Crosher, leaf green georgette and diamante; Miss A. Asher, lacquer red chiffon.

During the evening items were given by Miss \V. Scott, Miss W. Crosher, Miss Underwood, Mr. F. McCallum, and Mr. B. O'Mallev.
