ROTORUA HIGH SCHOOL.
ADDITIONAL CLASS ROOMS. DEPARTMENT GRANTS REQUEST. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] ROTORUA. Thursday Advice has been received from tho De partment of Education by tho High School Board that the request for additional accommodation for pupils has been granted. Instructions have been given to tho architect to prepare sketch plans and estimates at once, so that the work can be put in hand immediately. It is hoped that tho additional classrooms will be ready for occupation when the school resumes after tho Christmas holidays. Tho school was occupied for the first timo on December 12, 1926, and was estimated to hold 210 pupils. There are now over 270 names on the roll, and it is expected that there will bo a further increase next term.
