NO ATE A, Thursday At a meeting of tho Hauralci West Drainage Board tho chairman. Mr. C. Parfitt suggested that export advice bo ob tained on ways and moans of improving the drainage of the board's aroa. Tho board decided to discuss tho question with Mr, E. Taylor, laud drainage enginoor Tho enaction of a new bridge will shortly ho commenced at Waitnkaruru, on tho Paoroa-Pokono main highway. The Awaiti Canal Bridge is nearing completion, and tho metalling of tho Kern peehi Block Road has boon completed. Cars aro now using tho Puhanga Canal Road from Ngatea to Knihcrc. but tho surface is rough.
