GOLF CLUB AT HOME.
An At Home was given by the Waitemata Ladies' Golf Club on Wednesday afternoon. The c!ul> room and tentables were effectively decorated by the ladies' committee, and Mrs. C. Prima (club captain) welcomed those who wero present. Putting competitions were held for club members and visitors. Mrs. Steedman (Paeroa) won the visitors' competition. The club trophies for the season were presented by the president. Mrs. G. A. Oribben, to the winners. Miss E. Alison was the gnest of honour, a»d Mrs. W. C. Beaumont, lion, secretary, after pre. senting her with a bououel of stock and sweet peas from club members as a mark of appreciation for what she had dono for the club during her long membership, made her a life member. Mrs. G. A. Gribben was presented with a bouquet, of Iceland poppies and anemones, and a vote of thanks was passed to her for presenting tho trophies. A large number of guests were present, including Mrs. Broughton (vice-president), Mrs. Oarrletior (Whangarei). Miss A.
