SCATTERED OVER THE WORLD DUTIES IN MANY LANDS. FROM AUCKLAND TO NIGERIA. There is romance in the civil engineering profession, the members of which, if they so will, may travel widely. Already the Arapuni staff of Sir William Armstrong, Whitworth and Company is scattered over tho world. The, chief, Mr. F. W. A. Handman, who was in Brazil before coming to New Zealand, is now on his way to England and, judging by tho experience of others, may soon bo looked for in any continent. *
Mr. F. D. Martin went to England and almost immediately left for Nigeria, where he is now employed. Mr. W. S. liay was in England only two weeks before ho left for the Malay States. Mr. 11. W. Thomson is in Montreal, Mr. 1. T. Chesson at Niagara Falls and Messrs. W. Hudson and H. Bright are in Australia. Mr. F. Greenhough is still in England, whither Mr. A. J. Learmonth is bound, leaving to-morrow. Mr. Kirby, who has done work in South America and tho Far East, has remained in the service of the Public Works Department at Arapuni.
