PEASANTS IN DIRE NEED. SOVIET GRANTS £1.250,000. United Service. MOSCOW. Oct. 9. A drought, tho failure of tho crops, and a shortage of butter and eggs necessitate instant relief for 350,000 starving children in tho Ukraine, where 4,000,000 peasants are going hungry. Tho Soviet has voted £1,250,000 for od and relief works. Typhus is adding to tho sufferings of the people.-
